Snow Bunny

January 14, 2015

I scored this coat on eBay a while back. I fell madly in love with the style and color. Once I had the coat in my possession, then I wondered if I would actually wear it in LA since it's never that cold here. This winter has answered my question, because it's been so darn cold. Ok not that cold, but LA cold, which is somewhere in the 50's at night. I've worn this actually a couple times now. I love wearing it with bell bottoms for a 70's retro look.

Cheers!

Joshua Tree

January 12, 2015

Over the weekend, we decided to take a little road trip. First we headed up to Palm Springs and spent the night. On Saturday we had a huge breakfast then headed up to Joshua Tree. It was my first time visiting. It was more peaceful and majestic than I had imagined. We really wanted to watch the sunset, it's our favorite time of the day. Most of the day was cloudy, but as we were driving away, the clouds cleared and we pulled over on the side of the road. We found a beautiful large rock to climb and sat to watch the sunset. The sun lit up Joshua Tree and it took on a new life. I was able to capture it in the last photo. It was so beautiful to watch. It was also a great little reminder that sometimes in life right when you're about to give up is when something magical can happen.

Dreaming...

January 7, 2015

Just sharing some of my inspiration folder favorites and allowing myself to get romanced by the thought of a vacation. I can almost feel the soft sand, hot sun and icy drink in my hand. There is no trip in sight, but in the meantime these photos will do.

Cheers!

Marsala

January 5, 2015

Marsala is the Pantone color of 2015.
Honestly, when I first saw this shade I was disappointed. The color reminded me of an outdated couch. Then I realized I owned these pants in that shade... it's not exactly the same, but very close. The tone has since grown on me.  It has a great vintage vibe and looks great with gold. I don't plan to go out and fill my closet with this color, but at least I can appreciate it for now.

Happy New Year!
