Aztec Print

December 30, 2013

My sister's birthday falls very close to Christmas and since I was in Northern California, I drove to the Bay Area to spend some quality time with her. Isn't she so cute and fashionable? For us, quality time means having a hearty breakfast, strong coffee and then some hardcore shopping. We took these pictures before we entered Nordstrom Rack. We were both shocked that we were in there for five hours?!? I love spending time with her, nobody makes me laugh like she does.

Happy Monday!

Roses & Fur

December 23, 2013

I love Christmas, it's my favorite holiday. I love the warmth, family time and all the fairy lights. We are headed up to Chico and Sacramento for the next week to spend time with family and friends. I'm also pretty excited about all the traditional Mexican food we will be feasting on!

What are your plans for the holidays?

Jackson No 5

December 17, 2013

I love clothes and trying different styles, but it always feels so good to go back to simple styles. Skinny jeans, blazer and a worn in tee can feel so simple yet so great.

Happy Tuesday!

Consignment Shopping

December 14, 2013

Naven Top via Crossroads $12.50
 Zara skirt via Crossroads $12.50
H&M Scarf via Crossroads $8
Double Zero vest via Crossroads $10.50
American Eagle jacket via Buffalo Exchange $16.50
Silence & Noise vest via Buffalo Exchange $11
Lanvin cinch belt via Buffalo Exchange $25

I'm a deal hunter and always have been. I love the hunt as much as I love the sweet victory of finding amazing items at incredible prices. My boyfriend knows this all too well. He came home not too long ago and said he saw a few consignment stores in West Hollywood and insisted we go check them out. A boyfriend that insists you go shopping when your closet is overflowing as it is? I'm one lucky girl.
So we hit up Crossroads Trading Co and Buffalo Exchange, two of my favorites. We found some amazing items. I'm most excited about my yellow top and pink Zara skirt. Oh, and how amazing is the Lanvin belt? It's brand new and still had the original tag (a whopping retail price of $485). Sweet victory.

We had a blast and my boyfriend even walked away with a few great finds as well. He is slowly becoming just as addicted as I am. In the future, I will try to feature my finds on a regular basis.

Do you like to consignment shop?

Bundled Up

December 9, 2013

The weather has definitely dropped in LA.

My boyfriend and I decided to go out Saturday night even though we both felt extremely chilly. It was 46 degrees, and for us that is very cold. I know we are a bunch of  spoiled brats with the weather in California and shouldn't even be complaining! Anyway, I was so cold that I layered two coats, threw in fleece-lined tights, and finished it off with fur-lined gloves. I was so happy that I layered so much, I was very comfortable all night.

Cheers to warm clothes!

The Gifter

December 6, 2013

 Happy Friday!
I teamed up with Marshalls this week to check off my Christmas list.
I found some incredible items and can't wait to see my family unwrap these goodies.
On my shopping trip I discovered a supple black leather quilted DKNY cosmetic pouch for my sister, she is the queen of cosmetics. I then came across a pair of high top Adidas sneakers for my nephew, he loves color! Next up, I hit the toy section for my niece and discovered this Disney Barbie set, she loves Barbie and Minnie, it's a perfect combination! The next person on my list, and the hardest, is mom. I searched the store and had several ideas, but then dropped everything when I spotted these gorgeous burgundy snake skin Diane von Furstenberg flats. I mean how could I not get these?

I was on my way to the checkout line when I spotted this beautiful Indian inspired pink and gold wrapping paper that also included matching name tags. There was also a roll of gold ribbon that I snatched up. The color and design are a little unconventional, but what can I say, I'm a gift wrapping rebel.

Where are you with your Christmas shopping?

Fringe & Gold Hardware

December 4, 2013

This has to be one of my favorite tops.
If the house was on fire and I could only save one item of clothing, this might be it.
It's everything I love; black, sultry, comfortable, twirl worthy and draping in fringe.

What is the most cherished piece in your closet?

Sunset Date

December 2, 2013

We had the honor and privilege to be treated to a beautiful sunset dinner date at High Rooftop Lounge thanks to Marshalls. As if that wasn't enough, Marshalls gave me the opportunity to shop for my idea of the perfect date outfit. I found this gorgeous Clover Canyon dress that is both flattering and comfortable. The material is luxurious and thick, but without clinging too tight to my body. I love the tropical kaleidoscope design and bright colors, it's sexy but without revealing too much. This dress retails for $260, but at Marshalls it was only $89. It was the perfect dress for the sunny outdoor setting.

High Rooftop Lounge is on the roof of
Hotel Erwin, overlooking Venice beach, providing the perfect view to watch the glorious sunset. We enjoyed poke tacos, fresh guacamole, ceviche and a tilapia quesadilla. Our favorite was the poke tacos, they were amazing.

Thank you Marshalls for giving us a beautiful and memorable sunset dinner date!
